Advanced Construction Systems and Materials

  • Lecturer
    • Carlo Nozza

The object of the course is to analyse the process of design and construction of prototypes of architecture that have been a critical phase in the history of the evolution of building ever since the 1960s. The course is structured in three parts: the first proposes encounters to contextualise and describe the topics dealt with; the second invites students to explore the redesign of some typical details of newly created innovative buildings, introduces them to analysis and the BIM integrated project for protection, and engages them in a seminar with professionals active in international research in the sector; the third involves the testing of lines of research applied to integrated rapid prototyping for innovation in the case studies analysed.
