The course aims to raise students’ awareness of the sound and musical potential of architecture by highlighting its polysensory nature and the multiple linguistic combinations within it. In particular, the course seeks to develop a greater auditory and listening sensitivity by proposing practical exercises and sound walks, and investigating the different relations between music and other forms of artistic expression and communication, such as architecture, sculpture, painting, literature, cinema and design. In addition to a thorough investigation of the question of time, silence, space, form and narration seen in music and other fields, the course also intends to design sound installations or sonorisations of the environments in the Academy.
Oral final exam.
