The course, conceived in seminar form, is linked to ongoing research projects at the Academy of Architecture. The goal is to acquire familiarity with the basic tools of contemporary management of the territory (and city) through a knowledge of local, regional and national planning institutions and the use of spatial data management tools (GIS). It is divided into three parts: 1. Theoretical introduction: from the planning of the territory to the management of territorial development; 2. Methodological introduction: managing geodata and introduction to open data for building GIS models; 3. Seminar work: each student will have to actively participate in developing group work on agreed topics.
