The RIBA Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship is still accepting applications.
However, please be advised that due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, the successful applicant will not begin their travel project until the relevant government agencies confirm that travel restrictions have been lifted and there are no remaining safety concerns. The RIBA and the Norman Foster Foundation take the safety of all applicants very seriously and due to the ongoing concerns and restrictions surrounding international travel, we will postpone the successful applicant's travel until we are satisfied it is safe.
The application process will continue to run to the timeline detailed in the information below, and the application deadline of 5pm Friday 24 April 2020 remains.
FACES magazine
Call for Papers, Peer-Review
In connection to its 77th number, FACES magazine launches a peer-reviewed call for papers on the subject of decor, its use today in architecture and its relation to history
The call for papers will take place as follows:
• December 22nd, 2019: submission of paper abstracts (maximum 5 000 characters), as well as a short biography of the author (500 characters) ;
• January 8th, 2020: the scientific committee announces the selection results ;
• February 15th, 2020: full paper submission (maximum 25,000 characters, notes included). We do not guarantee the publication of all articles that have been requested. They will first have to pass a double-blind peer review process. Authors will receive a response within 15 days. Please note that at this stage both the editorial and the scientific committees can and frequently request rewrites with short deadlines.
• April 30th, 2020: publication of selected articles.

Premio Europeo di Architettura Philippe Rotthier
XII edizione
Il Premio Europeo per l’Architettura è assegnato dalla Fondazione Philippe Rotthier di Bruxelles. Creato nel 1982 e assegnato ogni 3 anni, mira a mettere in luce la produzione architettonica e urbana contemporanea e a premiare i quartieri più belli costruiti in Europa negli ultimi 25 anni.
Quest’anno è stato scelto il tema “lo spirito del luogo”, il Genius Loci. Il premio ricompenserà le architetture, i progetti e le pianificazioni urbane che, secondo i fondatori, terranno conto e s’ispireranno all’ ingegneria del posto e contribuiranno al rispetto della Terra. Il premio ammonta a 35.000 euro.
