One week to imagine, design, and experience architecture
From July 19 to 26, 2026, the USI Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio will host the first edition of Accademia Archi Camp, an English-language summer school dedicated to exploring architecture as a tool for interpreting, imagining, and transforming the world.
Through model-making, field trips, and hands-on workshops, participants will engage in an intensive and stimulating experience, gaining direct insight into the design process. The program offers a full immersion in architectural culture, with opportunities to interact with faculty members, practicing architects, and students of the Academy, while discovering the unique landscape of Ticino.
Accademia Archi Camp is also conceived as a university orientation experience, helping participants understand whether architecture could be their future path. The program reflects the key values of the Academy of Architecture: an international outlook, multilingualism, and freedom of expression.
Alongside academic activities, the camp includes social events, sports, and excursions, ensuring a well-rounded, educational, and engaging experience.
The camp is open to young people aged 16 to 20 who are Swiss citizens or residents in Switzerland.
