The atelier investigates architecture starting from the big scale. The purpose is, first, to propose a project formed by the connection of individual projects through the “empty space” (the collective and social space), then to detail a conscious architecture of the territory. Starting from the observation of a territory means considering it as a unit, understanding its transformations, working on the environment, landscape, infrastructure and architecture. Students are asked to work in groups. Individual groups are free to propose a site and a theme. The common purpose remains the design of a master plan that forces groups to work with each other. The basis of each project remains human beings and the development of their abilities. The aim is to compose pieces of the city capable of achieving this.
