Onzgi is an architect, visual artist and designer. He studied painting and sculpture in Berlin and Zurich, and graduated in architecture in 2002 at the AAM, Mendrisio, where he actually is assistant of Prof. Marc Collomb. He worked in the office of Herzog & de Meuron, Basel and Yves Lion, Paris. Over the past two decades he has worked in architecture, furniture design and exhibited his art projects internationally. He collaborated with Olivier Mosset, Peter Weber, Juri Steiner. Among other projects he created costumes for the Prater-Festival, Volksbühne, Berlin; the reunion table of the art section of Pro Helvetia, Zurich; a permanent artwork for the Clinic Hirslanden, Zurich; the interior design of the dance, theater, music school DTM, Paris. His main interest is the approach to space, simultaneously sculptural and architectural; he cares about the ways we think, live, form and deform space – how theories, stories and representations of it materially constitute our world.
