30 September 2021

The call for Speakers' Corner 2021 contributions is now open! Speakers' corner 2021 is an extra-curricular project for USI students (bachelor-master-PhD candidates) in collaboration with Lugano Living Lab - City of Lugano, L'ideatorio and the WeTube-RSI space. The deadline for applications is October 16, 2021.

Speakers' corner 2021 will take place in October and November 2021 and includes free mentoring sessions with professionals from the communication sector for the creation of multimedia content for promoting theses, research and field projects dealing with topics related to digitalisation and technological innovation.

How it works:

  • Have you done a thesis, research project, or group work in the past 2 years, which is related to topics of digitalization? Has your study received a grade of 8 or higher? Do you want to learn how to make a successful pitch and have a professional video of your research?
Send your application (individual or for your group) to this link by 10 October 2021.
  • Work with an expert: participants will be assigned to a mentor (a communication expert) for a personalised pitch/public presentation training. NOTE: there will be 3 meetings with your mentor. Meetings can take place in person or online at times convenient for both mentor and participant so as not to overlap with your lessons.
  • Become a protagonist at the Swiss Digital Day in Lugano on 10.11.21 at the LAC: you will be able to present your research in the talk area dedicated to the Speakers' Corner from 10.30 to 12.30 together with the mentors and the other participants of the project.
  • Record your video in a professional recording studio between 15 and 19 November: at RSI's Spazio WeTube you will be able to record your video of about 2-3 min with media and communication professionals. The dates for recording will be defined with the participants. Each participant will have about 1h of time to record the video.

Speakers' Corner is a unique opportunity to:
