The presentation of issue 21, "Meride: la chiesa di San Silvestro e il Museo Arte Sacra" of the magazine "Arte e Cultura" was held on Sunday, 28 November,  in the church of San Silvestro in Meride.

"Arte e Cultura" is a quarterly monographic publication, published by Fontana Edizioni, which aims to disseminate, cherish, and enhance the great artistic heritage in Ticino's religious buildings and deals with the artistic emigration from Ticino to Italy and Europe. The objectives and topics mentioned above also recur in this issue dedicated to two important places in Meride, central to the understanding of the artistic history of a country that can truly be defined as a "widespread museum": the church of San Silvestro, whose history dates back to at least the twelfth - beginning of the thirteenth century which preserves one of the most important fresco cycles of Francesco Antonio Giorgioli, and the Museum of Sacred Art, which houses works and furnishings from local sacred buildings.
