In the spring semester 2026, the doctoral school is organising a one-week workshop on the campus of the Accademia di architettura. The focus will be on simultaneous individual work on one’s own doctoral project, interspersed with seminar sessions, talks, presentations, inputs, workshops, and joint lunch. The main idea is to bring the doctoral students closer together for five days by setting up a shared workspace on the Accademia campus. The week will integrate the courses on “Research Methods II” and “Scientific Writing Skills” and will allow personal exchanges between the participants. Over five days, from February 9 to 13, the aim is to convey a sense of common challenges and approaches as well as the breadth of research at the Accademia. Regular and informal exchanges between doctoral students are crucial for developing a comprehensive understanding of scientific research. All Accademia doctoral students are invited, including those who have already participated in some of the courses of the Doctoral School. Master students and assistants considering a PhD as well as Doctoral students not enrolled in the Doctoral School are warmly welcome to join us.

In addition to the contributions of professors, post-docs and PhD students of the Accademia, we are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Sanda Lehnholzer from Wageningen University as a guest speaker at the Lunch Talk organised by the Doctoral Schools PhD students.

The week is organised by Prof. Sonja Hildebrand and Dr. Elena Chestnova and supported by Dr. Anna Bernardi, Dr. Will Davis, Dr. Mirko Moizi, Dr. Carlo Nozza and Prof. Sascha Roesler.
