In Search of an Old Resource in the Industrial Era: Wood and the Historical Roots of the Italian Forests (1870s-1960s)

The postdoctoral fellows will carry out research within the PRIN-PNRR project n. P2022SWYTR. The postdocs will analyse the evolution of forest policies in Italy between 1870s and 1960s and (b) the role of forests for the populations of some territories directly involved in their use. The tasks of the postdocs include the collection and analysis of primary and secondary sources on these issues (and, wherever possible, their digitization for the creation of a database); the publication and dissemination of the research results. The postdoc positions can be extended up until the end of the project.
