CALL FOR PAPERS: SAGEO '10

International Conference on Spatial Analysis and GEOmatics
« Geomatic Methods, Models and Knowledge
for Land Planning and Landscape Management »

http://sageo10.univ-toulouse.fr/

17-19 Novembre 2010 à Toulouse (France)

========================================================

SAGEO is the rope which ties the different fields, approaches,
disciplines and actors, promoting the geoinformatics. Annual
international conference organized by the GdR MAGIS and the European
Research Group S4, SAGEO aims to :
- present recent research in the fields of geoinformatics, spatial
analysis and Geographic Information;
- gather communities of researchers from various disciplines;
- foster relations between specialists developing and enhancing research
in government agencies, businesses and local authorities;
- provide an information and exchange place on research and development
of geographic information in general, at national and international.

Aims and scope
--------------------
The main theme for SAGeO 2010 is :
Geomatic Methods, Models and Knowledge for Land Planning and Landscape
Management.
Contributions should preferably concern this topic, and more widely:
1/Concerning tools, methods and models:
- Complex systems, modeling and spatio-temporal simulation
- Integration, fusion, multi-scale and automatic generalization
- Spatial Data Infrastructure, interoperability, metadata, ontologies
- Databases and knowledge bases, knowledge representation, knowledge
engineering
- Prospective simulation models, validation and generalization, models
coupling
- Modeling and management of uncertainty, error propagation, sensitivity
analysis
- Spatial datamining, spatial analysis, geostatistics
- Spatial cognition: perception and appropriation of space
- Geo-visualization, Webmapping, dynamic mapping, mobile applications,
Web services and Semantic Web, Networks, Ubiquitous GIS
- Spatial data structure and geometric algorithms, modeling of spatial
relations, graph analysis, trajectory analysis
- Remote sensing and image processing, segmentation, pixel
classification and object, time series processing, LiDAR, multi-source
classification, sensors
- Uses and socio-economic impacts of geographic information (legal,
economic, networks of actors).
- Decision support techniques.

2/Concerning thematic fields:
- Landscape ecology, environment, natural resources management
- Land management and territorial prospective
- Representations and urban dynamics
- Coastal management, seashore
- Change of occupation and land use
- Transports, flux and mobilities
- Risks
- Decision support, territorial governance
- Actors and representation, conflicts of use
- Collaboration, participation, mediation, companion modelling
- Teaching geoinformatics and spatial analysis

Paper Submission
------------------------
Three types of propositions are possible to submit:
- Scientific articles (12 to 15 pages, about 5000 words) for oral
presentation and publication in the electronic proceedings of the SaGéo
2010 conference ;
- posters accompanied by a short text (2 to 3 pages including title,
abstract and keywords) to be exposed during the conference ;
- oral presentations of R & D in Geomatics implemented by private
companies, consulting firms and local authorities, etc.. (synthetically
described in a page by title, abstract and keywords).
Texts will be written in french or english and must follow those
guidelines :
http://www.hermes-science.fr/fr/cons_actes.html
Submission website : http://sageo10.univ-toulouse.fr/openconf
Best papers will be selected for a collective proposition of a special
issue to the "European Journal of GIS and Spatial Analysis", the "Revue
d'Ingénierie des Systèmes d'Information (ISI)" and "Annals of GIS"
IMPORTANT : All accepted paper requires registration and the presence of
at least one of the authors.
