A volume edited by  Sandro Guzzi-Heeb, Luigi Lorenzetti, Martin Stuber (eds.) on Forms of Land Tenure, Concepts and Practices from an Economic, Social, and Environmental Perspective, has been published by the publishing house Chronos Verlag.

The concept of property is the result of philosophical constructs as well as political and economic models that have evolved over time and have repeatedly changed the relationship of societies to material goods.
The different concepts of property have been reflected in economic, social and cultural dynamics. For centuries, different agrarian landscapes have been defined and shaped by the nature of land tenure. The ownership of land and real estate determined the strategies of economic actors, the privileges of certain groups, the fate of family dynasties, the order of the sexes, and, more generally, the foundations of social hierarchies.
The essays in this volume explore four dimensions of property that are of great historical importance: Forms and concepts of property in different periods; the relationship between property, kinship, and social networks; forms of collective property; and property rights as factors of inclusion and exclusion.
