Sustainability and efficiency are key aspects in the design and construction of buildings, and as architects we have the responsibility to “design to last” and to foresee and accommodate for changes that eventually occur during the building lifecycle. Thus, it becomes necessary to re-evaluate the construction methods used so far, on the one hand trying to build in a simple, almost primitive way, and on the other hand being able to exploit the technological advancement achieved so far. Rethinking the way of building and fabricating elements is reflected in new architectonic atmospheres and new ways of living.
